Had a great ride on Sunday. The bike is so fun to ride. I see Larry called it big orange. Does that mean a nickname would the big O ? Hmmmmm. I kinda like Obi for" orange bike". yesterday was 78 degrees and today it is snowing. This is a pattern that is getting old. We are getting more efficient on the bike. The turns are smoother and we are using more than 3 gears now! Larry put the clip-in pedals on, so now he is attached. I think he was a little nervous about that. He puts his one foot in and then I start pedaling and he clips in the other one while trusting me to get us going. It worked just fine. We have made a few adjustments to the seat settings and are working on a few others. It really helps to get out there and use everything. I am getting together some of the stuff we need to take and thinking of the most efficient clothing combinations and of course buying lots of tiny little bottles for all the toiletries and such-not much in the way of makeup though. I have to say it feels kind of freeing to have so few choices for the daily dress up! If Mother Nature will cooperate, we will get out again in the next few days.

God guys it is getting closer and closer. Lawrence, Zen was bummed you didn't show up at Bennigan's like he said your days are definitely counted at work. I tried to get a room at Hotel Newlin on Wed night but I guess it was booked. I couldn't get a hold of either of you. It is going to be wierd not seeing you at work.
I am racking my brain trying to come up with a clever name for the bike. Big "O" was kind of funny except people may think tires, I wasn't thinking tires as I am sure you weren't either. Hee Hee I am really excited for both of you I think it will be a blast. Hope you got in a ride today as it is spectacular out and is why we live here! You could call it the "OrB", somebody will come up with something clever.
Looking forward to more postings from you guys.
Love ya
Letti
Looks like a good time! Nothing about that ride really reminds me of any big O, but different strokes for different folks, eh? Hee Hee! I will try to think of some names, and have suggested Rejuvenator to Dad, since your adventures make keep you guys youthful and when you return you will be more fit than us youngsters!
Glad to hear that you made it from more than three gears; I suppose you're going to need most of them for 8 and 10 hour rides. I thought the recumbent seats were real luxurious and comfortable?
You may get more traffic on the blogs if you post links to and from other blogs, for example other biking or maybe 'midlife adventure' type sites. People are starting to realize that this time your serious about taking a break, eh? It will treat you well!
Talk to you guys soon and besos!
